Is Steyning a nice place to live?

Steyning is a picturesque town in the district of Horsham in West Sussex, nestled right within the South Downs. Steyning is a popular location thanks to the abundance of amenities located in the town itself, plus the beautiful attractions located right on the doorstep throughout the South Downs National Park.

Steyning has a close-knit community that’s focused on supporting many of the local, independent businesses that operate in the town. Cobblestone Walk, a family-owned shopping village, is just one area to find some of these businesses, which includes fashion boutiques, cosy tearooms, and health and beauty salons.

Steyning has many societies and clubs, plus the annual Steyning Festival. Held every May and running for two weeks, the festival celebrates art, theatre, comedy, music and literature, with talks, walks, and community events.

The town is popular with families thanks to the educational establishments, including Steyning CofE Primary School and Steyning Grammar School, offering secondary education.
