Established
in 1947, independent estate agents Mansell McTaggart are
members of the Guild of Professional Estate Agents with
directors as members of the National Association of
Estate Agents (NAEA). Mansell McTaggart was taken over by
the current directors in 1989, working initially from one
office at 10 Station Road, Burgess Hill. In 2006 the
office moved to its present much larger corner premises
at 20 Station Road.
With
increased sales a new office was opened in the commuter
town of Haywards Heath in 1992, relocating in 1998 to the
current premises at 5 Muster Green. A Cuckfield office
was opened to the west in 1995 situated on a prominent
corner position in the High Street and to the east a
village office was opened on The Green at Newick in 1998
directly visible from the A272.
Mansell
McTaggart now with an unrivalled presence in Mid Sussex
were eager to extend further a field and to this end an
office was opened in 2001 at 212 High Street, Uckfield.
In 2006 to gain a stronghold in the villages in Southern
Mid Sussex a large corner premises opened at 29 Keymer
Road, Hassocks. In 2007 the furthest office to the
northern side of Mid Sussex was opened in the heart of
the Gatwick triangle at 39 The High Street, Crawley,
again a prominent corner position in the heart of the Old
Town.
Despite
the world economic downturn of 2008, Mansell McTaggart
were confident in their brand and with opportunities
arising opened 2 further offices in the year. Firstly a
quaint village office at 53a High Street, Lindfield to
complement the Haywards Heath office with a presence in
this idyllic and well known village with its historic
High Street. Then the South Coast appeared an obvious
location and 138 Old London Road, Patcham was opened.
This office provides the gateway to the City by the Sea
being the first estate agent one would drive past if
approaching the City of Brighton from the main A23
motorway network.
A
Land
and New Homes division
has been specifically designed to identify and maximise
the potential and value of development opportunities, not
only helping larger National developers, but also
offering advice to the general public and local
developers. Mansell McTaggart have acquired, advised on
and sold a large number of sites within Sussex during
recent years.
The
company has invested greatly in modern technology and the
9 offices are linked via a computer network, giving all
offices access to each others database of buyers and
sellers. The latest digital colour imagery has been
installed enabling Mansell McTaggart to produce property
particulars of the highest standard. The company has
always advertised extensively in the local property
papers and has increased this further with regular
inserts in regional and national publications and all
major Internet sites. Importantly, we are part of the
National Property Centre on the prestigious Park Lane in
Mayfair, London, complimenting our extensive network
further.
However,
a quality service is not just about time saving
technology and advertising. Despite many other benefits,
the staff in any business are the key ingredient to
success, and in each of our offices the personnel have
years of experience in their individual market places,
enabling the customer to have confidence in their ability
and experience. Estate agency is a people business, and
to this end we believe that sound values together with a
professional and personal service are paramount.
